After 21 years in Chad, our dear teammate Loretta has sensed the LORD leading her to return home to her native Ireland.  After spending a good chunk of her early years in the southern part of Chad, she has been stationed in the capital of N’Djamena or here in Abeche over the last several years.  She has been like a mother, friend, and counselor to us all.

I only know a handful of people who have “stuck it out” for such a long time away from home, but they are a special group of people who model the LORD’s faithfulness.  We give thanks for them and Loretta today.  Our team had a farewell party for Loretta this week and said goodbye to her yesterday, as she departed from Abeche.  Here are some pictures:
