Sunflowers
This rainy season, I labored many hours planting a garden in our yard. What? It’s not actually “laboring” if you don’t do anything? Oh, sorry. In that case, Sonja and our teammate Loretta labored to plant a garden in our yard. Loretta has spent many years here in Chad and has a good knowledge of what grows here and what doesn’t.
Everything has started blooming in the last few weeks, most notably 10-15 stalks of sunflower, bringing a rich yellow to our sandy landscape. We also have small rock roses (pink and white), some assorted grains, and aloe plants. Here’s a picture from yesterday:

love it!!!
You’ve got some big sunflowers there!
