2012 Top Blog Posts

2012 was a great year.  Apparently, it was also a year with a lot of writing, as our blog’s annual report reveals a whopping 189 posts were written in 2012. order Prozac

But which ones did our readers visit the most?  The results may (or may not) surprise you.  So, without further adieu, here are the top 10 Broten Family blog posts from 2012 in reverse order:

A recent post that shouldn’t be hard to recall.  The kids were very excited to meet Perpetua after she was born last month.

Athanasius’ lively encounter with these insects left him with a lot of marks and a memory he won’t soon forget.

#8     Sprinklers

While visiting friends in Arizona, the sprinklers turned on to water their backward.  I’m sure it’s hard for you to imagine who was missing from our midst, but eventually found soaked from head to toe.

Maybe it’s appropriate that our top 10 be marked with the same pattern found on our blog this past year…do you notice it yet? (Hint: Starts with “Ath” and ends with “anasius”.  Here, we use some candid pictures with his cousin Annie to imagine what sort of conversation they might have been having.

Here’s the announcement of Perpetua’s arrival into the world.  It may only be #6 on this list, but her birth was a #1 type event for us!

Sonja still can’t believe that I wrote this post, a recounting of our (ok, maybe her) delivery experience.

This post seemed to resonate with a lot of women as Sonja cracks the top 10 to share about her first trip back to a grocery store in America.

#3     Mathematics

Definitely the shortest post of this group, but a picture and a few clues can attract a lot of viewers when the subject material is this exciting.

In the most serious post of our top 10, our hearts were alarmed when a simple doctor’s appointment discovered water on Perpetua’s brain.  As is so often the case, many of you prayed and encouraged us through the days of uncertainty.

And drumroll please…….the #1 viewed post of 2012 is:

In a result that might surprise some and will probably have my mother’s eyes rolling, yes, the most viewed post from this past year (and it wasn’t even close) was a post that chronicled the kids’ difficult transition from bathrooms in Chad to bathrooms in America.  And who said that people don’t like a little potty humor now and then?
