Eating Fuul
Sometimes, Sonja really spoils us. Like today, she put together one of our favorite dishes from North Africa, fuul, for lunch. She even let us eat it with our hands.
Fuul is made with broad beans and olive oil, cooked and then ground up. It is best enjoyed with jibna (cheese, feta works the best), basal (onions), and some tamaatiim (tomatoes) and then seasoned with milih (salt) and shamaar (dill) Here is a picture of us enjoying some fuul together this afternoon:

Haha, No fair! :P
mmmmmmmmmm. You forgot the shatta.
Ah yes, and every North African would say (to the shatta), “Amen”! It’s a little too hot for my Scandinavian mouth.
My kids don’t like fuul but maybe b/c here they don’t grind up the beans- I could see them maybe eating it then. Saha! Do you say that there?
