Our French Choir
We are always looking for ways to expose ourselves to the French language besides just the classroom and a textbook. Due to my love for music, it was natural for me to say, “Oui” when the choir director at church asked if I would join the choir. And since Sonja and Perpetua obliged with an early delivery, there I was for our church’s nativity play and concert just a week or so before Christmas, singing my little French heart out.
The event was put on as a way to reach out to the community and share the story of Christ’s birth with them. The background and lighting were splendid:
Joseph, Mary, the shepherds, and the rest of the cast was excellent:
And to help in weaving the story together, our choir sang eight or nine songs, all in French! About half of them were familiar Christmas tunes and the others I had never heard before. It was a challenge that I greatly enjoyed. Let’s see if you can find Waldo?
