Eating Snow
If you’re a Minnesotan, it’s not difficult to see where this post is going (sort of like a post titled “Tongue Stuck To A Pole”).
Monday, the snow started to fall here in Roseau, so Papa is no longer a liar, and now the kids have finally seen a real BIG snowstorm. Last night, we were visiting with some friends. Their kids spent some time playing outside in the fresh snow with our kids. When I went outside, I noticed all three of our oldest kids eating snow.
To try and steer them away from eating the snow, I told them that I was pretty sure I saw a cat peeing on that snow earlier. Evangeline just shrugged her shoulders and said, “But it tastes pretty good!”
Tough to argue there, but here’s your public service announcement:
That’s one of those battles we have chosen to fight no longer.
Fight…who does that! Nothing better than fresh snow and Strawberry or Rootbeer flavoring to make a true “SnowCone”. We just stay away from lemon!
