Scooter Turns Two!
Yesterday, Athanasius and I returned from spending a short time with family in the States (which I will write about later). We returned yesterday to take advantage of the low cost infant ticket which says that all travel must be completed by the time the infant turns two.
So, today Athanasius and I celebrated his 2nd birthday with some pizza and books. We’ll try to do some more fun things tomorrow, when Mama and the other three return from Alexandria to Cairo. One of the things I love about Athanasius is that he is our only child, who, when given a choice between Papa and Mama, will most often choose Papa (a real Papa’s boy). I also love the fact that he already can pronounce the Arabic letter “khaa” (try clearing the phlegm from your throat to imitate). Lastly, he has a wonderful smile. Alright, here’s the photo journey for the Scooter:

Happy birthday Athanasius!!!
From Elias
It was great spending some time with you and Athansius….what a sweet boy!!
What a wonderful time Grnadpa and Grandma had getting to know you again. Your smile was so contagious, with your eyes half shut because of the WIDE grin. You would tilt your head sideways and typically repsond, nooo, Papa.
Nasius no poop. We love you buddy!
