You’ve Got Mail!

There was great excitement in the Broten house yesterday, as I received a text from Sonja saying, “We’ve got mail!”  The kids waited until I got home and we opened the 4 packages together; one from Phoenix, AZ, another from Roseau, MN and two from Minneapolis, MN.  They were filled with some needed baby supplies, tear-free shampoo, solar flashlights, first aid equipment, etc., but also included the personal touches of cards, along with sweet unnecessaries like Caribou Coffee, taco seasoning, gummy worms, and of course my favorite (Chips & Cheese)!  There was evidence of the wear-n-tear in the journey, as the gummy worms had melted into liquid form, while both tubes of toothpaste had ejected 1/4 of their contents and one of the shampoo bottles joined in the expulsion.  But, how can any of that dull the love and excitement we felt from the kind gifts……thank you so much for those who sent them.

The packages took 4-6 weeks to arrive from the States based upon the varied dates we saw on them.  Here a couple pictures of the opening activities!

Love reading your posts. I remembered when reading this one that Gloria told me Nehemiah loves reading. I have old Hardy Boys mystery books given to me for Thomas and some focus on the family Lee Roddy books just collecting dust. Would those be good things to mail to you all? I am sure my sis can tell me how. Praying for water and living water. :) Love you all, Cheryl
