On Saturday, we celebrated Hadassah’s birth by inviting many of our friends for a meal and a time of sharing.  I read from the book of Esther, while my friend Ahmed shared some reflections from Hadassah’s namesake and gave a prayer of blessing for her life to be used of God for His glory.

Then, we dug in for some sheep meat, couscous, and vegetables with our Chadian friends and fellow workers.  The kids even enjoyed a soda, a rare treat for them (Athanasius’ face was hilarious).  Here are some pictures from the mealtime:
