Tomorrow, we will leave for a holiday in Egypt.  See, there’s that British influence rubbing off on me again.  They call vacations “holidays” and I’ve sort of taken to the word.  Now if only I could mimic their accent :)

One of the things the kids have enjoyed here in the capital of N’djamena is the opportunity to play with the daughter of another family working here.  They are from Fiji.  They have played tag, hide and seek, and done lots of swimming together.  As you can see above, swimming is a little different here.  We grab some small wash basins, fill them with water, and the kids enjoy splashing around.

As Evangeline posed for this last picture, I am led to believe she wanted to close this post with the question, “Excuse me, where is the catwalk?”
