Many of you will remember Nehemiah and I’s bear encounter while camping last year.  I don’t know if we can even compare that bear the the one we encountered last week.  The bear was loose in our hotel here in Cairo.  Thankfully, I captured some photos to share with you all.

At first, the bear seemed innocent enough (as if he was out for a Sunday stroll):

But, then he turned on two innocent bystanders who were simply hiding behind a chair to watch this great beast:

Quickly, the two unidentified patrons made a run for it.  To their surprise, the bear was slow as he meticulously followed their scent, tossing aside tables and chairs,

Yet, once he raised himself on his hind legs, he could run like the wind (notice the dread on the face of the bear’s prey, as he runs away):

We don’t know the outcome of these attacks as we fled out of fear for our own safety, but it’s safe to say things probably didn’t turn out well for the young man in jeans.
