Our first Christmas in Chad was wonderful.  As always, we miss our family and friends, but living in another context makes you feel the birth of Jesus here on earth and His “Emmanuel” in new ways.  That said, we still try to find ways to remember our own culture.  The kids had the chance to help Miss Loretta setup a Christmas tree on the station and add some decorations to it:
