The latest competition that Nehemiah has initiated at the dinner table is “Who is the Most Chadian”. The conversation goes something like this:

So Hadassah, who has spent five of her six months here, wins the Most Chadian competition hands down. She is now sitting up on her own and joined us at chai this morning. She also likes to eat her toes and is putting everything into her mouth. Lately as the temperatures have been increasing and it’s getting hot out, she is wanting to drink water. Up until now she has been a happy and healthy baby. My big dilemma is that once she starts drinking water and eating some food, the possibility of her catching a stomach bug greatly increases.
