A few weeks ago, I put up solar panels that arrived from the States via container.  Solar panels are really the way to go here, as they don’t require the maintenance and gas refills of a generator (just replacing the batteries every 2-3 years), and they don’t make the loud noises either.

A friend in the market made the metal frames to hold each of the panels.  After positioning them on the roof, I wired them together and connected them to the batteries in our home.  Now we have enough power for our solar freezer, some fans for the kids at night, as well as charging our phone, computer, and other electronics.
