A Termite’s Diet
Books can really take a beating here with all the heat and sand, so we use plastic tubs from the good old ” Prozac online Container Store“, which we brought over with us. We put similarly grouped books inside a tub and then keep them on bookshelves. Sonja just finished reading “The Pastor’s Wife” by Sabina Wurmbrand, which she had picked up off a bookshelf at another expat’s house. I laughed when she showed me the book and discovered a new “wear” on books here, as termites have been feeding on the words, literally. Here’s a picture of the book:

It reminds me of the children’s book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle, where there are holes in every page from the caterpillar eating through all the food. For those of you familiar with the lives of Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand, there may be some symbolism there.tadapox en colombia
Haha! We never had termites eat our books. Yikes.
