Sounds like fun doesn’t it?  Actually conjunctivitis is just the medical term for what we in the States call “pinkeye”, although I didn’t discover that until I went to look it up in the dictionary.  A few people on our international team have had it over the summer, but they all call it conjunctivitis.

Yesterday, Hadassah’s eye started filling up with goop and today it’s bloodshot and puffy, so Mama has made the diagnosis and started the eye drop treatments.  Not much fun to look at, even though Hadassah’s a trooper about it:

UPDATE: No pictures today, but it was a really tough day.  It’s now spread to both eyes and they were both closed for most of the day due to the sticky goop and swelling.  We actually put bandaids over both eyes after lubing them up tonight and hope she sleeps well and finds improvement tomorrow.

UPDATE 2: Thanks for praying everyone.  Hadassah’s woke up with a little swelling and redness in here left eye, but it was so nice to see both eyes opening today.  One more night of treatment and bandaids over her eyes and she should be out of the woods.
