Evangeline’s Violin
Last month, Evangeline had stated that she would like to try to learn playing the violin. We found a wonderful violin shop in the cities where you could rent nice violins for three months for about $55, then $25/month after that. All rental fees can go toward the purchase price of a violin at that same store. So, it seemed like renting a violin to see how Evangeline liked it was affordable for us.
Then, we started looking for a teacher. Thankfully, Sonja had located a young violinist at our church who gives lessons. After talking, we decided to sign Evangeline up for two lessons a week. She attends thirty minute lessons on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. So far, the Dolly loves it and is working really hard. She just finished learning how to play “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”.
Here’s a couple pictures of the little violinist, one along with her teacher Miss Katie:
So glad to see someone else taking up the beautiful instrument! Go, Evangeline!
