Saturday Morning Pancakes
We have about one month left with Kendra before she returns to her family in the States. It’s hard to believe the six months are almost over. Kendra has brought many wonderful things to our family. One of them is Saturday morning pancakes. It’s a tradition in her family and so she kindly shared it with us. The best thing is she’s taught Evangeline how to make the pancakes, as they have done it together for many months now, so we’ll be able to continue enjoying this each week. Whether they make homemade syrup, a cinnamon apple topping, or simply use jam, the pancakes are always a wonderful treat. Here’s the cooking crew:
Waffles were a tradition on Saturday mornings in my family. Cinnamon applesauce with syrup was our topping of choice. And on really special days my dad would make french toast using Kings Hawaiian Bread which had some king-sized pieces. -Veronica
