Head & Shoulders
Over the past couple months, as school has let out in Iriba, more kids stop by our house to play with the kids and learn English with Sonja. Most of them know that Sonja teaches our kids in the morning, so they stop by in the afternoon and sit out on the veranda to hear stories of faith and learn language. In fact, one of the reasons Sonja has taken off so well with the local language in town is because as she teaches these kids greetings and other vocabulary, they then share the proper words in their language. Here’s Sonja with some of the kids one day last month:
These boys are enthusiastic learners and I’m pretty impressed with all the words they already know. Hopefully, you can pick up some of that enthusiasm as they sing one well-known English song they’ve learned in this video (super cute):
