Today, our good friend, Andrew, was married to Kate. We’ve known Andrew for the last 6-7 years of our work in Chad. Even though we work in different parts of the country, Andrew is always really intentional to take advantage of the times that our paths do cross and we have spent many outings over a meal talking about the joys and challenges related to our walks with the LORD and work overseas.

So, when Andrew announced his wedding plans and called to see if I would be one of his groomsmen, we were excited to join him and his new bride, Kate, for their wedding near Sonja’s old stomping grounds in Colorado (Sonja attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs). We brought the 4 youngest with us for the occasion. It was a delight to meet Kate and more of Andrew’s extended family and friends at the rehearsal dinner. Then I had fun at the bachelor party with the fellow groomsmen and other friends as we played laser tag (first time I’ve ever done that) and went bowling. This morning, the groom’s party got up early to hike up a bluff and pray for Andrew as he entered marriage before enjoying a breakfast together. The wedding this afternoon was a beautiful celebration of Christian love and we look forward to seeing Andrew and Kate overseas in the years ahead. Here’s some pics from the day.
