First Meeting w/ CORD
Athanasius had his first “spew-free” day in a long time on Saturday and seems to have recovered. Thanks for your prayers for him…our LORD is good.
On Friday, Sonja and I sat down with a representative from CORD to talk about our potential partnership in Hadjer Hadiid. They responded positively to our proposition to develop a curriculum to train the adult graduates of their English courses to be teachers of English in the refugee camps’ schools.
So, this coming Wednesday, Sonja and I will fly to Hadjer Hadiid and spend the day and night on the compound to see what is actually there in terms of living conditions. We will then make a decision about whether we will move the family there relatively soon or wait until after the birth of our child. The kids will all stay in Abeche with Miss Mia, a fellow WEC-er, whom they have grown to love.
