Ancient Egypt

Since we live in the midst of so much history in this part of the world, one of the ways we decided we would like to use our vacation is for the sake of education.  Nehemiah studying Ancient Egypt in History this year, played a big role in us deciding to come to Egypt.  We spent the last week touring the Great Pyramid in Giza, as well as the Red Pyramids and Bent Pyramids.  We also enjoyed a day visiting a living museum, where people acted out everyday life in Ancient Egypt.  One funny story from this living museum called the Pharonic Village, was when the tour guide showed us the homes of wealthy Egyptians and common Egyptians.  She came to the bathroom and in a disgusted way commented that she couldn’t believe people used a hole in the ground like this, to which Nehemiah and Evangeline said, “That’s how we do it in Chad.”  I’ll try to put up more pics later, but here’s a couple for now:
