For those who don’t receive our Weekly Updates, some friends of ours (Geoff and Miri) have an older daughter, Abbi (15), who is taking classes in the neighboring country of Cameroon.  She became very sick with malaria and was hospitalized earlier this week, having a high fever, a low red blood cell count, and an irregular pulse.

Geoff, Miri, and Vani (their youngest daughter) were able to get a flight down to Cameroon on Friday.  Today, we received news that Abbi’s fever was subsiding and her pulse and red blood cell count were stabilized as well.  She is being treated for worms, as well as a gum infection (discovered when she was hospitalized) in addition to the malaria, so please continue to pray for healing in her body.  Here is a picture of Abbi with Hadassah:
