Watching Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster eat cookies is always a treat, as his raspy voice continuously shouts out, “Cookie”, followed by munching sounds and pieces of cookies flying all over the screen.  Minus the theatrics, but with almost the same voraciousness, our oldest son devours books.

A while ago, Nehemiah ran out of books, so we had been scouring other Westerner’s shelves (that means the bookshelves of two other homes).  Then last week, three boxes arrived in the mail, which all contained history books set in the periods of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome (along with some curricula).  Sonja had ordered them a few months ago.  A BIG thanks to the Roberts for receiving them and our friend David for facilitating their journey to Chad.  Nehemiah’s smile is even brighter today!
