Goodbye Roseau
Yesterday, after my Dad and I’s tennis match, we finished loading up the vehicle and said goodbye to Roseau. There are so many special things about a small town. Streets are calmer so the kids can ride their bikes a lot. Yards are a bit bigger, which gives them plenty of space to run around. There was even a road being put in next to our house, so the kids just plopped down their chairs 50 feet from the bulldozer and enjoyed their front row seats:
And it wasn’t just enjoying Roseau for it’s small town-ness. We were able to rent a house right next door to Grandpa and Grandma, which meant delightful wake-up calls for them from Athanasius when he would wander over there in the morning, lots of book reading, and the always enjoyable marshmallow roasting and smores:
So, it was with many good memories that we said farewell and secured our kids for the trip down to the cities:
Don’t forget to buckle in the luggage. ;) Praise God for the wonderful blessings he brought you this summer. Praise him for the blessings yet to come on the next leg of the journey!
