Leg 3: Erie to Syracuse
Over the years, one thing that we’ve learned is to try and take advantage of the fact that we need to travel a bit. There are places all over the world that we read about in books, but often don’t have the opportunity to see for ourselves. One 2-3 hour stop during our travels can make a day(s) of trains, planes, or automobiles feel like a vacation.
Then we boarded the boat, which took us right up next to the falls. Their are three main sections of waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls. You can see the two major ones in this picture Sonja took from the Obervation Deck:
The left side is America and the right is Canada. So the first section of waterfalls in the foreground are aptly named American Falls. Here’s a pic from our boat:
Right next to the American Falls (and also on the American side of the border) are the smallest falls of Niagara, Bridal Veil Falls. They are to the right in this picture: Buy Zoloft online
Lastly, the boat took us into the largest section of falls, Horseshoe Falls While the other falls have rocks on the bottom which would kill anyone going over, Horseshoe Falls have mostly water at the bottom and are the falls where people have either intentionally or unintentionally gone over, with a few of them surviving to tell the story. It was so wet at Horseshoe Falls that I never got a picture, but here is one from the net (and you can see what one of the boats looks like going into it):

The hand of God in creating things like this had our family talking all day. It was obvious we weren’t the only ones as we saw thousands of people from India, parts of Asia, the Middle East, and Europe who had come to see Niagara Falls.
We left the falls to drive onto Syracuse with a sense of awe and a little saturation:
