It seems like ever since I graduated high school in 1997, the global warming discussion has moved more and more into the forefront of public discourse.  Terms like “carbon emissions” and “polar ice caps” have broad understanding with many, while climatologists have continued to make their case that the computer models which predict these warmer temps are all based on sound science.

Yet today, scientific data was quietly released by one of the premier climatology offices, the UK Met Office and it has many scientist going back to the drawing board.  Backed by measuring points from over 3,000 locations on land and sea, it shows that while we’ve been focused heavily on global warming since 1997, there has actually been no global warming since that time, but a plateau (with minor positive and negative deviations).  Here’s the chart they displayed:

Professor Judith Curry, who is the head of the climate science department at America’s prestigious Georgia Tech university, told The Mail on Sunday that it was clear that the computer models used to predict future warming were ‘deeply flawed’.
