Two Things I’ve Never Seen
American and Chadian cultures are extremely different. Things that might be common in one culture are absolutely rare in the other. For example:
In America, I have NEVER seen a woman or man for that matter cook food for their family on coals. I know some of you are thinking “I’ve used charcoal on my grill before”, but that’s a little different than the simple act of cooking over coals that I’m referring to. I’m sure there are Americans that have done it, but I have never seen it.

In Chad, I have NEVER seen a Chadian woman cook food for her family using a “foreign” stove. There are house helpers that have learned to use stoves to cook for the families they work for, but I have never seen a Chadian with a stove in their house. Again, I’m guessing that it has been done, but I have never seen it.
