These next two posts will hopefully serve as updates for many of you who are praying for Perpetua and Evangeline’s health.  It was amazing how after sending out last week’s update, we felt such a peaceful covering of prayer, as we watched both the girls enjoy a few good days.

Perpetua finished her Flagyl medication without seeing improvement, so we switched over to Tinidazole, which is a bitter pill.  The taste is so bad the younger kids will never take it down (they always spit it back out), so I toss the pill down Perpetua’s throat and follow it up by dumping a glass of water that always bubbles over her face.  I sort of feel like I’m waterboarding my own child, but it does the trick and Mama gets to play the comforter when it’s all finished.

Praise the LORD that Perpetua had her first non-bloody diaper yesterday!  We hope she’s on the road to full recovery (and can stay away from these amoebas for a long time).
