Christmas Outfits

In Chad, one holiday practice that you’ll observe is the purchasing and wearing of new outfits. At the end of Ramadan or the Feast of Sacrifice, you’ll often see brothers out sporting matching jalabiiyas (the long robes worn in Chad),

We met you in Brentwood, Ca about a year and a half ago…I love reading your blog- wow…such a different life…thank you for sharing! I love that you celebrated the birth of Christ with a neat local tradition. Lifting you all up to our Father!!

Thanks for reading Shawna. We really enjoyed visiting Golden Hills and hope we get the chance to come again down the road. It’s a blessing to us the ways that God connects so many different people to our family and His work here in Chad. Just the other week, a university student told us that she shared about our family with her softball team and now many of them read the blog (probably for a good laugh). Blessings to your family!

I need to see a bigger picture of Evangeline’s dress. I can only see a part of it. ;) But from what I can see, it looks like Mrs. Broten did a pretty good job on the pattern! I like how they all match, but they’re not exactly the same. Tell the kids hey for me!
