Sahara’s Visitors
Visiting your friends and neighbors is a cultural custom and religious obligation here in Iriba. These visits become even more important when it comes to life, death, marriage, and other important events. For the past year, you’ve observed us on the attending end of this practice, but now our home has become bombarded on the receiving end as Chadians come to see the nasaara baby (a term used for us as foreigners).
Our closest Chadian friends and neighbors started coming first. We even had some friends travel all the way from Sudan to visit us. We took some pictures as guests came and held Sahara.
She’s precious! good to see photos of you all.
