During the weekend of a relative’s wedding, my dad surprised many of the grandkids (and adult kids) and nabbed some preseason Vikings tickets to watch them take on the Oakland Raiders. Despite threats of thunderstorms, about 12 of us piled into two vehicles and made our way down to TCF stadium. The kids took in all the sights, sounds, as well as the game.

As you can see from the video below, the lightning started cracking in the 2nd quarter which caused a big delay.  Half the party headed home, including yours truly, while the real fans stuck it out to the end.  We all had a blast!
