Serenity’s Slideshow

bw1a7218-2

We enjoyed a wonderful memorial service with many family members and friends. Thank you to all of you who joined us. One part of the service included a video slideshow with pictures of Serenity from the night she was born.  Quite a few people have asked if we would share it here.

First, a big thanks to our friend Sarah, who graciously gave of her time to put the slideshow together.  The background music is a song I wrote in 2003 for dear friends of ours who lost their son while working overseas.  We hope you enjoy the candid pics of our evening with Serenity.  It was a gift we will always cherish.

Thank you so much for sharing this very private moment with us, outsiders and strangers. Thank you for choosing faith in the middle of doubt and pain. I know ultimate credit is God’s, but thank you for your active willing yielding to God. May God fill you with all peace and love thru Jesus.

This slideshow is proof that God makes beauty from ashes. Your courage to smile and to praise and your boldness through sorrow is a great witness to the fact that He does hold your whole family in the palm of His hand. This slideshow is your broken “Hallelujah.” He hears it.

Beautiful captures, beautiful song, I am in tears. Thank you for sharing. Perfect and beautiful name for your beautiful baby girl. Prayers of comfort & healing for your empty arms and your broken hearts. Big ((hugs))

Crying with you. I am so very sorry for your loss. :'( May God be near each of you in the days, weeks, months, and years to come, as you grieve the loss of Serenity.

    Brotens,

We love you all very much. You’ve been in our prayers and in our thoughts often. Our hearts hurt for you. We rejoice that Serenity is healthy with her Heavenly Father but we know that your lives are feeling the sorrow of her passing. We are SO sad we weren’t able to be at the memorial service as we were out of town. But, please know we continue to pray for you and care so deeply for your hearts. Please let us know if we can do anything.

    Hi,

What a beautiful slide show. Thanks for sharing. I’ve tried to email you (at the swiftmail address), but it keeps bouncing back. Is there a different email I should be using?
