Hadassah & The Monkey
Last week, a man stopped by to try and sell us a monkey.
As the kids came out to see the monkey thinking they might be able to pet it, the monkey went after Hadassah, who had come a little closer than the others (notice its teeth showing in the pic).
Not like we were considering the purchase anyway, but that cinched a pass on our end as we said farewell to our visitor and chalked this one up to another odd encounter when two different cultures come together.

Our most unusual pet growing up was a turantula my dad picked up near the side of the road.
We live right next to the church Eric is working for and in October on a drizzly day I looked out to see an abandoned bird cage near the cross in the parking lot. The doors were tied open and an albino parakeet (with clipped wings) was inside. So we have a pet. I hope Hadassah is not afraid of monkeys now!
