Nehemiah Soccer State Champion
When he started playing soccer on the hard dirt in Africa, I’m not sure we ever pictured that Nehemiah would become a state champion in soccer, but yesterday, Nehemiah’s high school soccer team, the Mounds View Mustangs captured the Minnesota State Class AAA championship.
The state championship was played at US Bank Stadium, the home of the Minnesota Vikings. So our family arrived early and was all decked out in green to cheer Nehemiah and the Mustangs on.
After falling behind early 0-2, the Mustangs stormed back with three goals with the winner coming late in the game. Here’s a video of the winning goal, as well as the team celebration.
It was such an enjoyable senior season for Nehemiah to play and then to win such a prestigious title at the end of it all was very special. We’re proud of him and his teammates.
Congrats! Enjoy your freedom! Here in Qc kids that don’t have a jab pass can’t be part of any sport or any team! Very happy for you guys!
