Brotens Returning To the States for Baby Delivery
You wish Mama (*see below)…Happy April Fool’s Day everyone! My son has been trying to scam me all day, so I figured I would participate in the festivities :)
Actually, on the baby front, we continue to wait on the LORD for a way to deliver the baby here in Chad. Thanks to a couple of our supporters (a doctor and his wife) who posted our need on a midwifery forum, we have been dialoguing with two midwives, who would potentially be willing to come to Chad and help us with the delivery of this child. Sonja has felt the baby kicking a few times and will go in for a prenatal visit with Yakhuuta (Fatuuma’s sister), who is also pregnant. Please continue to remember the baby and the plans for delivery, as you pray.
*Update: Sonja would like me to clarify that the statement above “You wish Mama” is referring to my mother, Gloria Broten, lest you think Sonja wants to return to have the baby and I am insensitively mocking her. So, to review, I don’t insensitively mock my wife, just my mother. Got that….wonderful :)
glOkay, that was just mean – forget the fact I did not know it was April 1st but I should have remembered Nehemiah did this last year too!!! I still vote for Mama to return to Roseau to deliver, seeing as the last one went so well!! Love and miss you! Package going out today!
