Tonight, Sonja and I enjoyed a Christmas gift from her sister, Kari.  We went out for supper at the Big Ten Restaurant, site of one of our first “dates” and then we took in the Minnesota Gophers vs. the Colorado College Tigers hockey game (which was also a part of that first date years ago).

For those of you who didn’t know, Sonja attended and received her BA from Colorado College, so she was pulling for the Tigers.  I use “pulling” very loosely because Sonja doesn’t have much of a competitive bone in her body…or at least she doesn’t show it much.  She’d much rather make sure everyone had a good time.  To prove the point, Sonja spent almost the entire game visiting with an old CC friend and I’m pretty sure she enjoyed that much more than if she would have paid more attention to the game.

So, how did the game turn out?  Well Colorado College led 1-0 for much of the game, until the Gopher’s Nick Bjugstad brought everyone to their feet and tied it with just over a minute remaining.  Unfortunately, all those raucous fans were stunned just 30 seconds later when CC scored to take a 2-1 lead and hold on for the victory over the Gophers. buy prednisone online
