As we shared last week, an ultrasound of our little baby revealed fluid on her brain that may point to some chromosomal abnormalities.  After an initial descent into the valley of worry, we got some telephone calls from friends, learned a little more about the actual facts of what the ultrasound showed, prayed, and set our hope on God.

Or did we?

I’d like to think I did, but deep inside, I wonder if I’m actually putting my hope in some percentages that came with the “actual facts”.  After learning that our baby daughter had indicators of possible chromosomal abnormalities, here were a couple of the percentages that came as “good news” to my ears:

90% of the choroid plexus cysts (CPC) manifested in fetuses between 16-24 weeks are dissolved by week 26.

Only 5% of babies with no other indicators in the ultrasound (which was the case for our daughter), such as a clenched fist or malformed organs end up developing a genetic disorder such as Trisomy 18 or 21.

I’m so thankful for tests and statistics, which help paint a closer picture of reality than our minds often do.  Yet, I feel the pull inside to have more tests…to know more information…to find peace from them.

That’s where Sonja and I found ourselves this week.  Yet, we wanted to rest in something even greater than these tests, statistics, and percentages.  As we sought the LORD, He gave us some other percentages to consider: Buy Zoloft online

In 100% of all events, situations, or happenings, no matter how catastrophic or minuscule, God works for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

So tomorrow, we head into another doctor’s office.  We’re not sure what awaits us there, whether the doctor will recommend more ultrasound tests or not, but we do know this, we want to rest in those one hundred percent promises.
