2012 Broomball World Championships

Did the blog seem quiet this past week? While the cat’s away, the mice will play. In this case, the cat is Nehemiah, I am the mouse and the game being played is broomball.

This past week, I traveled to Ottawa to join my teammates for the 2012 Broomball World Championships Buy Fluoxetine Online . More than fifty teams from countries all over the world (USA, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, Italy, etc.) came to participate in the event. Ten years ago, our team won the World Championships and we were hoping to recapture the gold after several bronze medal finishes since then. While the team competed hard during the week, compiling a 5-1-1 record in pool play, we lost to a very good Canadian squad in the quarterfinals, which ended our week earlier than we had hoped.

Still, I enjoyed the challenging competition and the time I had with a group of guys I have grown to appreciate over the years. I finished the tournament with 11 goals and 5 assists in eight games and was named to the all tournament team. Here’s a picture of the all-tourney team:
