The blog has been a little quiet this past

week, but there’s a good reason for that, as I have been participating in the Canadian Broomball National Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan. In order to try and shorten a long story, I’ll share that I’ve made acquaintances with quite a few broomball players in Canada through playing in the World Championships over the years. When one of those friends found out that I was living in Québec this year, he checked with the proper authorities in the sport and discovered that since I had a study visa to be in the province of Québec, Canada, I could play with his team based out of Montréal for the National Championships.

Our team is called “The Pogos”, which is sort of funny because “Pogo” is the french word for a corn dog. The Generic Zoloft team played really well, finishing with the top record in pool play (4-1) and getting the #1 seed heading into the playoff rounds. Unfortunately, we lost 2-1 in the semifinal (to a team we beat twice just two weeks earlier). We ended up taking the bronze medal.

You’ll get a kick out of this. One of my teammates notified me that we made it onto the prestigious Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (or as I called it growing up in Roseau, the CBC). Sure enough, you’ll notice a familiar face score at about 1:00 into the video clip and then take buy Prozac online a hit into the boards. That #19 in yellow can’t be doing this much longer:
