Now sshhh….this will be our little secret.  This actually wasn’t the first place we put her down when we decided it was time to move out of our bed.  Sonja had actually laid her down at the foot of our bed, where I’m standing when I took this picture.

The one problem was that Sonja did not tell me this before she went to bed.  A couple hours later, as I came meandering in the dark to join her (can you guess where this is going), a short cry came out as I stepped down…I had accidentally stepped on our daughter.  She went right back to sleep and the step felt soft, so I must have just lightly squished her rump, but we quickly relocated and decided the closet floor would be much better for her.
