Chadian Clothesline
Chadians are renown for getting by with what’s available to them. It’s how they live their lives. When we first arrived at our new home here in Iriba, we didn’t have a clothesline to hang our washed clothes on. So, Sonja took a page out of the ol’ Chadian playbook:
Seriously, if you drive across country you will notice nomads just throwing their garments up on trees to let them dry in the afternoon breeze. Now, that we’ve been here for a week, I’ve had a chance to craft an upper class Chadian clothesline, which consists of electrical lines strung up between thorn trees. It really works well.
This may be a good time to ask you to pray that we would find some good house help Generic prednisone here in Iriba. Sonja and Evangeline are still washing all the clothes by hand, which consumes a huge chunk of time that Sonja would like to invest in getting to know our neighbors and starting school up again for the kids.
