Paging Lawn Boy

So, when we returned to Iriba, we found our lawn filled with green grass.  In order to appreciate the change, first check out the yard from earlier this summer and then check out what it looks like now (the grass is browner now that we haven’t had rain for a few weeks).

Big difference, huh?  Now, normally you would think grass is a good thing and for the most part it is really nice to see here.  The one big problem is that it brings lots of bugs, one of the worst being malaria-carrying mosquitos.  My friends started trying to brainstorm solutions for us.  This was a funny conversation with my friend Mohamed Abaker (I’ll translate the Arabic for you):

MOHAMED: We could bring some donkeys over to eat the grass for a week.
JACOB order Prozac cheap Zoloft buy prednisone online : Yeah, but then the donkeys poop all over the yard.  I’d rather not clean all that up.
MOHAMED: True.  How about goats?
JACOB: That would be better, but they like to eat the small trees in our yard more than the grass.
MOHAMED: What do you do in America for this problem?
JACOB: We use something called “Lawn Boy”.

And as if if we needed a reminder of how completely different our worlds are, Mohamed replied to that statement with this question:

MOHAMED: What kind of animal is a lawn boy?generic cialis malaysia
