Hadassah The Flower Girl
Shortly after we returned to the States at the end of last summer, we got an email from one of the volunteers that came to Chad to help with the children’s program last year. She said she was getting married and wanted to know if Hadassah would be the flower girl in her wedding. I don’t think there’s a room that could contain the smile on her face once Jessica asked her and all the way up to the time of the wedding.
You see, Hadassah in that phase of girlhood, where everything is about weddings and marriage. Most of her dress up times include this subject matter, as do the dolls that she moves around her bedroom. So, it should come as no surprise when her aunt asked her what was the highlight of 2015, that she thought back through all the special memories with her Papa and experience with her family and said, “Being asked by Miss Jessica to be the flower girl in her wedding.”
The day finally came this weekend. Hadassah loved the Groom’s Dinner and even remarked that the Ring Bearer “was a really nice boy”. The two of them carried a sign that said “Brandon, here comes your girl!”
Before the actual ceremony started, Hadassah and Carson killed some time with a wheelchair.
Though she got a little nervous when the time came for real, she made it all the way down the aisle and enjoyed a beautiful ceremony with the rest of us. Congratulations Brandon and Jessica!
